This started out as a blog about hydrocarbon energy, especially oil. In the past year I've become interested in the energy that powers people; sugars, fats, proteins. Like oil, gas and coal, the different substances have different effects. Sugar (carbohydrate) overproduction and consumption is a striking feature of the petroleum age, which started in 1859. Since I like this name and don't want to start a new blog, I've broadened my topics...

And now a website
The day after I wrote the paragraphs below I decided I needed an actual website to complement the blog, since I want to do web pages as well as blog posts. I don't see the equivalent of WordPress's Page function, so we'll make do.
